Question Bone head Maneuver....

So after i broke off the front engine lift bracket bolt in to the head, and trying to tack on a nut to get it off and failing, i decided to try the LH drill bit and extractor idea.... well long story short, broke in to water jacket and busted the extractor tip off in the hollow bolt. FML. so i used some metal epoxy and a small alum plate to try to keep from leaking. No go. still seeps a little.

if i popped that broken tip in to the water jacket, what are the chances it will hit the WP? that way i can tap the hollow bolt and plug. other wise is JB weld time, and id hate to do that.

Thoughts?

Jake

looks like JB weld did the trick. very small pin holes where the water could squeeze by the extractor chunk. seams to work like a charm after a full drive.

I would FLUSH the system and try to find the bit. If its in there and you can't get it out I fear it will do bad things to the pump. It would be safer to pull the pump and flush than trash it.

That piece was not going to move. so its nice at solid. no worries about it falling in.
