LH Cover Install
I pulled the cover off my fuse / lh panel to get in there to jump the fuel pump, but now I am having trouble getting the mat back on. I should have been more observant on the pull apart . There is extra foam padding the looks like it folds over the EZK and LH. Is this right? Does anyone nave a photo or two they can share to show how it goes back together.
Thanks,
Dave

I don't have a picture handy. The verticle curved piece that fits around the LH/EZK may have a felt lining. There is also a layer of tar-paper-like material over the felt. Sometimes the felt separates from either the carpet or the liner or both, and may have gone missing. There is also a flat piece, same layering stitched to this that fits over the top of the curved piece, this is the upper right-hand corner of the footwell. Also the floor mat portion has two elongated slits or holes. These fit over two hooks at the top most portion, where the carpet goes up under the dash; the carpet is hanging over these hooks. At least that is what I have.

Thanks. Not quite following, but will take the description to the car and see if I can figure it out. Normally I would try and "make it fit", but the extra material looks substantial, and I want to make sure that I don't interfere with heat dispersion etc. if there is any from these two units.
Thanks,
Dave

That extra peice of material covers the top of the LH unit, then the carpeted peice fits as you would think it does, and snaps into place on the side. It's like a 3 dimensional little carpet box.

I still laugh though at the wooden cover of the fuse panel. On such an expensive car you would think they would use something just a little more sexy.

I see your point, but I was always impressed they didn't use particle board when looking for an inexpensive non-conductor.
