Default Steering and front suspension rebuild/upgrade

The 81 is going through some pretty heavy corrective and preventive maintenance after 5 years of GREAT service.

One of the things on the list is a steering and front suspension rebuild and upgrade which will include:

1) R&R steering column - bad steering bearing.
2) R&R rack - leaking - wish I could have attended Colin's rack party!
3) R&R ball joints - replace lower, rebuild upper(??).
4) Upgrade to S-brakes (calipers, spindles, rotors). I know I could go more on the brakes, but I already have all the parts, cleaned, refurbed and ready to install.

I will have the engine and the dash removed as they will be getting their own upgrades.

I would appreciate any WYAIT items, best methods, things to watch out for or pointers on any of this.

Cheers,

Hey Colin,

I was at the track yesterday.
Will you be around this weekend?
I would like to call and talk with you about this and the 4.7.

Cheers,
