shocks dont have to be konis, any aftermarket shock that can be custom valved or adjusted will work

just cut the springs, one coil and you are set if your current shocks are any good.

Shocks are the main problem, Id like to spend $1600 on the 928MS kit but until I get some sponsors thats out of my league. I doubt the stock 90' springs with one coil cut will be stiff enough for my needs, what do you think the spring rates would be?

I think the shocks could handle it, but the spring rate goes up about 20% by removing one coil and the ride height will drop to better levels too. worth a try, as you can always replace them. one coil cut out of the eibach springs bring them very close to 650 in front and 350 in the rear if I was to guess based on Scots set up.

Koni has been having a sale on shocks for a while now.
Same with Mark Anderson on the Eibach springs

my .02 Get the Bilsteins...... I have driven many 928's from Street cars to full race 928's and the bilstein equipped cars just handle better..... The konis are a bit too harsh on compression and a bit under damped on rebound.....again its my impression.....

I think bilsteins with stock springs is about perfect for a street 928
Bilsteins with heavier springs (cut eibachs work really well) are great for track 928's

Yes konis are cheaper....but I'm not impressed with them

If you are going to be racing the car etc. Then don't get konis or bilsteins.

Get a true racing shock.
KW, AFCO, Ohlins, Penske, Leda etc.

I thought I had this all figured out but now there seems to be a ton of options. But since price is the object I have to go with the Konis. Bilsteins may handle better but if there good enough for Kibort there good enough for me
If I buy the shocks straight from Koni, will I still need the adjustment sleeves and perches?
Thanks again guys

the stock sleeves dont tend to fit all that great on the Konis,

however you can do better shocks for less $$$ if you can do a little fab work.

that plus they are a pain in the *** to adjust. How much fab work are we talking about?

oops missed this one.

Well if you have a plasma cutter or an oxycetalyne torch and a drill press, and welder then you are good to go.

Basically you take shocks with spherical bearings on both ends and adapt to the 928. shock mounting points.
