151 GPS is my record, set last year on an undisclosed stretch of VERY straight and empty piece of Texas highway.

Little wind noise, but smooth and stable. I wouldn't have feared setting the cruise and leaving it like that for an hour. In fact, I wish I could have.

What's the statute of limitations on that?

I'm used to cars getting really light in the front end where the steering becomes vague and downright scary at anything over 110. At 130, my GT was just starting to hunker down. I ran out of road before it ran out of legs. Stability and a solid feel at the wheel were superb.
I'm guessing that even earlier models still have that road-sticking handling at such high speeds.

That would've been illegal. You must mean that someone passed YOU at 80. People are so crazy sometimes!

My evil twin reached 235+ km/hr years ago going down the Sherwin Grade, with the stock (OB) motor. The car was still accelerating, but he came up on some traffic.

We did 272kph (169mph) in friends S4 manual on slight downhill at A1 near Nurburgring, it was stock other than X-over. S2 should get at least 250kph (155mph) in similar situation.

About 220km/h on my 83S and I think it will go a little further, but there is always a guy on the left lane at 90km/h…..

I just did the Texas Mile with my '85, and posted 152.9 mph at the mile marker, having just shifted from 4th to 5th right before the speed traps (135 feet before the mile marker), wish I could've kept going for another mile but had to brake. Did 11 runs without any problems at all! Adding some coolant was all the service that needed to be done. Car was strong, everyone was impressed with it! 117 at the quarter mile. Ed M

For real, mine is a real live person, of course he can be kind of a Doctor Mitchell, Mr Uncle Mitch kind of deal, depending on alcohol intake.

A well maintained S2 will do 257km/hr with ease and more to give, in extreme comfort and glued to the road or so I am told.
