Default Bilstein questions

Hello, I just purchased a set of cup II wheels and new tires. I noticed my car needs an alignment since the old tires have excessive wear on the inside due to negative camber. I jacked the car up and noticed I also need new upper ball joint boots. Since I need to split the ball joint to install the new boot, I'm half way to replacing the front shocks. The car has 75k miles and has the original Boge shocks, they appear to not be leaking but the car has a mushy feel at higher speeds. I know that after you replace the shocks the car needs another alignment, so I figure it would be better to replace the front shocks now rather then wait and get another alignment later. What does switching from Boge to Bilsteins require? My front Boge shocks do not have an adjustment collar. Do the Bilsteins come with these adjustors or are they separate? I plan to keep the stock springs for now. Since I just need a front end alignment can I wait to replace the rear's with Bilsteins for a later time? Finally, I found a site that sells front Bilsteins for $214 a piece, is this a
legit site? Thanks

As a benchmark I sell a set of Bilsteins for $900.
Each shock comes with the adjusting nut and lower spring perch.

For a 928 that is driven in both the track and street the Bilsteins are a great choice!!! I have driven several 928's on track with bilsteins and cut eibachs or 600-400 hypercoils and they all handle well.....they last a very long time too

My father's '82 Comp package came with Bilsteins from the factory and they make all the difference. I had the oppertunity to drive my '82 and my father's '82 last year on the track and the difference was astonishing. His car stuck to the track and had virtually no body roll, mine with Boges required much more attention.

Suspension and alignment are two areas that I am just a parts changer.

What is the difference in the Blue, Red and Black Boge's and the comparison to the Bilstiens or Koni's throw the adjustable part in there and swaybars/drop links etc it is easy to get lost when a person like myself who only knows how to change parts is trying to change the way a car handles for the better on the street, not on a race track?

I have factory option M474 Sport suspension, Bilsteins from new. Best part is they are rebuildable for about 25% the cost of new ones. They have never rattled my teeth - they are firm enough to remark on over poorly paved suburban streets (40psi, stock 225-50R16), but on the open road they are superb.

I use cheapest sources sometimes for parts, but don't expect them to know anything about the 928 or respond well to any normal problems.

OTOH I plan to use Bilsteins on both my cars.

I think it is a great set up that a lot of people would like. Pretty sporty without too much harshness.
