I'm wondering if you could use those universal door lock solenoids to replace the vacuum actuators. Seems pretty straightforward, you could use the same mounting points the plastic reservoir uses, and attach a cable to the eyelet where the center post attaches. Since the vacuum lines are already electrically actuated, just replace the actuators with relays and you could even retain your stock controls, you'd just need to bring in another 12v power source.
The only concern is that they're not really intended to be energized constantly, so I don't know how they'd last, but a kit of 4 universals is $23.

never heard of using a condom but since your already in there then you are on the budget get the right bellows and replace them, much less expensive than 110.00 for a complete pod from the dealer. Also inspect the blower box pod as these also fail usually the pod next to the instrument pod is still good ( defroster pod) so it doesnt need replacement , but test it first

Also, I can't remember the brand, but I actually did pick up a box of non-latex condoms applied a thin layer of silicon and stuck it inside the current diaphragm, and tested with the mighty vac, then came back and tested after a month and it seems to be holding up, but I still trust electric actuation more than vacuum if I can get away from it, and it's a nightmare to mess with.
