Polishing Turbo Twist Rims
#16
an easier way
Have a look at this site:
http://www.swmetal.com/cart/search?c...ng%20Compounds
For first cutting, the #327 tripoli works well,
followed up by using the "green chrome rouge"
look under "specialty buffs & felt bobs" catagory
on the menu.
If it's around an inch in dia, you can use a high
speed die grinder ($30. @ harbor freight) anything
bigger, use a drill as the die grinder doesn't have
the torque to run a big wheel & you'll burn it out.
when you're done there will be spots of black compound
here & there, solvent on a soft rag
takes it off.
final finish- use simichrome paste using cheesecloth by hand
I had real magnesium Halibrand wheels that were polished
on a car I used to show & had
to learn the easy way to keep them up.
Hope this is helpful.
