Default New Product from 928sRus - Gates Racing Timing Belts

At long last we have the new racing timing belts ready for delivery.
I will be contacting the 45 names on the waiting list in the next two to three days to confirm the requirements and the order. Thank you all for being patient - it has been worth the wait.

3 times more Heat Resistance than the stock belt.
3 times the Load Carrying Capability than the stock belt.
3 times the life of the stock belt.
2 times the Tooth Integrity of the stock belt.
3 times the Tensile Endurance of the stock belt.

Incredibly strong, extremely heat resistant. Tough enough to take the worst pummeling your engine can dish out. No other belts help protect your engine and deliver high performance like Gates Racing Performance Timing Belts.

Constructed of HNBR elastomeric composites, Gates Racing Performance Timing Belts are 300% stronger than stock belts and deliver up to three times the heat resistance.

Built in Scotland on the same machine and roller that Porsche belts are made on as well as the stock Gates belts.

Price is $167.50 each plus shipping.

Roger, what is the shelf life on these belts?

For only a few dollars more than the stock Porsche belt, it sure can not hurt.

Disappointed it does not come in the traditional Gates Racing blue, but once you install the cam covers it makes little difference.

I wonder how the more durable rubber compound affects cam sprocket wear? Maybe no difference, but you probably would want to use new cam sprocket with this belt.

Also wonder how the Kempf Tool is affected by the new belt?

Borland - Good Guess!
If it takes as long to get the hoses as the TB I may not be able to stand the strain 8>).

I am not going to ask why you have OZ scales.

Must be for weighing powder charges or bullets for very big black powder shotguns.

But lighter is good.

I do not think it will matter for most, they will have one of kens set ups anyway.

Gee, thanks- 300 miles after I did the T-belt!
So where's the announcement on the new intake? I had a sneak peek and it was better than boobies!; well not really but pretty good nonetheless.

Roger,

Any chance you can get Gates to send you any "coefficient of friction" data on the toothed side of the belt for both the stock and racing materials? This should help gauge the net effect on timing and oil pump drive gears. Surely they have this data - getting it from them may be a different matter.

Thanks,
Hans

Haven't you watched the Karate Kid? Black belt's better than a blue belt! ;-)

Would you have to convert to round tooth cam sprockets on the earlier cars to run these?
