WTB 928GTS

SD - refers to San Diego
Daily driver - taking the kids to school 15 miles round trip, then back in garage, occasional 260 mile roundtrip run to Pasadena which I do about twice to three times a month, would sit in covered garage for the day in Pasadena.
Will contact Willhoit, that does look like a nice one.

There is a 94 GTS with 17K miles listed on auto trader vin# WP0AA2928RS820104. I have no clue what they want for it. It is listed by Langan Audi East 1-888-370-6706. The 928registry show this as a Midnight Blue 5spd.

i saw it on AutoTrader here is the link to that post, but it does not have much info.
I looked up the vin on the 928 Registry to find out it was midnight blue and a 5spd.

Good luck with your hunt Max, I'm sure you'll find something soon enough within your price range. Let us know if you do call about that Blue GTS on Auto trader. Curious if they sold it and forgot to pull the listing.

Dave Roberts (928GT.com), has a list of 928s FS on his site. I didn't check b/c it does get out of date, which means if there are cars listed that are gone, there might also be something he knows of that isn't listed. My point is, you prob ought to just give him a call. Look at cars.com and autotrader. They are out there.

Anyone else noticing a trend with 928's? Seems the nicer late model 928's are selling really fast and the prices are going up. Or am I the only one seeing this?

Have you driven a 928 before....especially a nice GTS or S4? Since you live in the greater Socal area...there are PLENTY of VERY nice 928's around you could take a look at and hopefully drive....
Since you are looking for a 928 you intend to drive quite a bit....I do recommend an S4....99% the performance of the GTS for FAR less $$$$

Max,
I agree with Brian. If your intention is to drive the car a lot then you can get 95% of the GTS buying an S4 for half (or maybe way less than half) the money! I would look at 89-91 models and a nice one could probably be had for under $16k... you would be hard pressed to find an equally nice GTS for less than $38k...

Frankly the S-4/GT has a much better engine than the GTS and you get 99.99 % of the performance ! No issues of excessive oil consumption , weak connecting rods , excessive detonation....... about all you miss is the rear fender flairs which were cosmetic only and not needed for the wider rims. So if you are going to use it and drive it paying up for a GTS makes little sense in my opinion because when they get 100,000 miles plus there is little collectability left and the vast majority of people can not tell a GTS from an S-4.
