Best company to purchase rebuilt LH brain from?

Elektronik does service the '85/'86 LH. I got a used one from him 3 years ago.
I think you might have solved your problem by installing the fuse. The car probably will run rough for several seconds if it hasn't been run in a few months.

Great news! Although a little grumpy at first, car started up and idled in my driveway for 5 minutes before I drove her back into garage and turned her off. Battery was pretty run down after all the failed attempts to start the car, so I disconnected negative battery cable and hooked up slow-charge deep cycle battery charger.
Thrilled to have car running again and that ultimate fix didn’t break the bank. However I’m still very perplexed why the car did not start two weeks ago and now it does. Perhaps placing a portable battery on the fuel pump unfroze it? Or maybe unplugging, and plugging back in the LH/EZF connections fixed it? Or something else??? Don’t get me wrong I’m glad the car is running, it’s just that absent a definitively cause, I’m leery it might happen again only next time not in the comfort of my garage.
Thanks for all the tips, advice, and suggestions. If it wasn’t for this web site, I’m sure the car would still be not running and my wallet would be a lot thinner.
