Missed you guys by a week. Make sure you ask Herman how many Porsche cars he has owned. He is a great resource for us.

Default I'm Looking forward to meet the "Desert Gang"

I got a new set of tires last Thursday and made quick biz related roundtrip to Dallas on Friday-Saturday. The car feels realy good right now and she is eager to go to Phoenix for a few days.

Since I've being flying cross country and cross Atlantic in the past weeks it feels good to use "928 Airlines" for a change.

Its like Chuck says "them new rack bushings and Lizard shifter" oh what a feeling! 928 at it's best.

Just wanted mention that I had send an e-mail to "Richard" who just moved from Denver to Phoenix to be there as well.

I'll be leaving Thursday and look forward to see you guys on Saturday morning

Looking forward to meeting you too Herman. Sounds like we're going to have a good turnout of 928's that should definitely draw some attention at the car show!

Drive safe, but it's always cool to be able to drive the car that is truly a real alternative to air travel. Too bad we can't drive them (legally) on our wide open Interstate Highway system like they're meant to be driven. Can you imagine what kind of time you could make driving 140-150 most of the way!

Wish I could be there with one of my 928s, but they're both up in Carson City getting some work done on them. I've been to the Scottsdale Road get-together before and had a fascinating time going out in the Veyron. My son used to work for the owner, who, incidentially, also has a Mercedes McLaren SLR, GTR, Murcielago, and who knows what else. It's quite a car and always surprises first time viewers.

I might be able to get there in the Griffith and look forward to seeing a lineup of 928s.

Also, don't forget the really big show that happens every Sat afternoon and evening at the McDonalds in the Pavillions shopping center in Scottsdale. Take the 101 in Scottsdale to the Indian Bend off-ramp and you're there. Lots and lots of cars and motorcycles that go all over the map. It's a good time.

Hope to see you there.

Herman/Rick - turns out I won't be able to be there for the morning show... I could probably get to the Pavillions in the evening & maybe out for dinner - what are your plans Sat night...?

Default re evening plans

Alan it looks like Friday and Saturday evening are out but Sunday evening diner is open if that works for you. I also can make time during the day it would be nice to compare some of the cars mods.

I'll planto leave early Thursday morning and get to Phoenix Friday around lunch time or before.

Larry, bring the Griffith and come out Saturday morning. If it was good enough for the Holbert car, it's good enough for Saturday! You may even have a few people interested in looking at it, even though it's not a 928
Might not be a bad idea to head over to the Pavilions later if some of us are still available...

Alan, well that just sucks... who am I going to compete against if you don't bring Diane's black GTS out??? I better not tell her, she may not come it you don't bring her car...

Drew, if you're handsome mug is all you can bring... well... if that's the best you can do... how 'bout bringing the Mustang instead, we'll let you park close by

All right guys, I just confirmed times for Saturday morning on ferrarichat.com. I think we should all get there about 8:00 am so we can set up a 928 row. Here's the post:

Scottsdale Cars & Coffee 4/3/10

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

We will be having our first Saturday of the month Scottsdale Cars & Coffee this coming Saturday April 3rd. Please note the NEW spring start time is 8:30AM. As usual we'll gather at the Shops at Gainey Village located on the southeast corner of Scottsdale & Doubletree Ranch Rd. This is an informal gathering of auto enthusiasts and all makes of vehicles are invited. This event is brought to you by Scuderia Southwest, Scottsdale Exotic Car Club and the Arizona Lamborghini Club.

See Ya There!!!

Just noticed this thread.

I'd normally drive down from Prescott for this but 4/03 is my anniversary so probably not a good idea.

Please alert me on the next GTG; I'd like to attend. Thanks

Kevin

Will do Kevin. PM me your email and I'll make sure Rich Andrade gets it. He'll add you to his email list that he usually uses to alert the AZ gang for GTG's.

Default Great day

The 928 Desert Shark gang had a great turnout.

It was great to see everyone.

A Bugatti Vyron showed up and upstaged us for a while

Thanks Rich for posting some photos, and thanks to everyone for showing up. What a great turnout, we had 10 928's show up! My Ferrari buddy Deano said this is one of the largest turnouts they've ever had with about 200 cars. Of course there were Ferraris and Lambos everywhere and as you can see, we even got the Veyron to show up for Herman! There was also a rare Saleen supercar that should up too, along with a very cool Ferrari replica race car. I'll try and post more photos later.

I thought the one photo of the group of 4 928's was kind of unique. If you look closely you'll notice that you have a pair of Amazon Green 928's, a GT and GTS and a pair of Guards Red 928's, a GT and GTS. Of course that's Herman's beautiful red GTS (5-spd short shifter!) It was great to meet Herman and see his "flight transportation".
