Geeze.....oil during a lemons race....what are the odds of THAT

It sure felt much worse than it looked.....especially going that fast maybe 10 feet from the wall!

you want to see that turn with a step out that really gets your attention, try watching my last race of the holbert car last year. I never realized that the exit birms at Sears have LESS grip than the rest of the track.

I have over two hours from your Sunday morning stint.....including a 2:16 lap time....BUT for some reason after I edit it in Microsoft movie maker, it won't let me publish it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I tried using different computers...but for some reason that file and ONLY that file won't let me edit...its a bummer as there is great footage in there I would love to post

I see your problem.

You shouldn't use Microsoft beta software.

I got to see a few videos of the X 1/9 today - the one you were battling with at the end of the race.

This little car is quite amazing. Its engine has only about 105 hp, revs up to 8000 rpm, but is not tuned for peak hp. Actually, it has a pretty flat torque curve.

What makes it so fast is the combination of low weight and high cornering abilities. Supposedly, it can do 1.3g on street tires...

These guys are incredibly meticulous in preparing their car for the race and ensure maximum reliability. Who would have thought that a FIAT can do so well in an endurance race?

Well, perception isn't always reality... Let's remember that next time someone says ignorant things about a 928.

I have quite a bit of footage from the end of the race battling for position with the X19!!! In the end we did "beat" them by 1 lap for Sunday....and I did pass them right on the line to take the checker!!! They did 172 laps on Sunday & we did 173...1st place on laps Sunday was a tie with two teams at 175laps!

The X19 is very well driven, those guys really have that car dialed and it does handle well......plus its silly light too...I would say under 2000lbs with driver...vs the Estate thats 3150lbs racing weight!! Whats funny is when I checked the data from Seans traqmate we were all pulling over 1.2g in the estate.....the highest I saw was Anderson got up to just under 1.3g...but all drivers were over 1.2g peak.... & this is with tiny 225/50-16 street tires!

I will edit some video of the X19 today....I'll post it later!

Good stuff, Brian. The X is actually much lighter than you think. It's somewhere near 1600 lbs, but that's probably without the driver.

Ya I was guessing 2000lbs in full race trim (driver plus full tank)...but it is seriously gutted...no windshield or anything....it could easily be 1850 wet with driver!
