Default James, how about some pics of Blue82!

I'm sure by now you have had the car fully detailed inside and out. How about posting some fresh pictures of it so we can all enjoy it.

Afshin,

I tell you what the car was pretty perfect when it got to my house. Sure I have cleaned up some detail stuff, but it would take a macro pic to show what I had done to the car...so much so you would not even have any idea what you were looking at... Here are a few shots of BLUE82 though. I'll get some more going as well for you and add to them. We didn't take any pics when we cleaned the cosmoline off all the suspension bits...might have to take a couple of wheels off to show our handy work soon though. We should have documented that. We were in a hurry trying to get 4 cars ready for OCIC when we did it though.

Thanks for asking and here are a few shots!

On the rear shot I took today you can see the blue wire that connects the battery to the tender. The car gets started regularly and the A/C is also run, but she does not see much road time. I usually put the trans in gear though so we at least get some effect back there too...trying to be a good care taker!

Here are a few more...the interior shot was from our local PCA concours event in Nov '08 and then the other shots are all OCIC '09.

Well that's a start.

Would love to see some shots of the wheel wells, undercarriage and engine bay when you find the time to get the pictures taken.

Keep them coming.

I'll see what I can find, but we did NOTHING underhood...it was perfect and still is...there is NOTHING to clean there. Wheel wells we did TONS of cleaning on...sure wish we had taken pics. Didn't get UNDER the car much...just what can be reached through the wheel well area...

How about some "before" pics? These were taken June, 2008. Bear in mind there was essentially zero prep and the car had not been touched since the 80's...

Kie,

When you look at those pics you realize how little needed to be done! That car was so clean other than some cosmoline underneath I didn't have much work TO DO! YEA! Love my blue baby!

Michael,

I agree with you wholeheartedly on the color! As for best condition...there are a few cars out there that could certainly give me a run for my money if not surpass me...afterall it does have 3660 miles on the odo! I know of two others with less (OB with 1500 and an '89 GT with 329 and an S4 that is close that was last reported to have 3900 miles), so they might actually have fewer flaws than this car, but this car has so few and some might have been there from the factory even...that is how focused in on the small stuff you have to get to find anything wrong with this car.

Thanks much everyone, I'll get a front and rear wheel off this week if I can and shoot some suspension pics for you guys!

Kie thank you for posting the pics, very cool.

James you are lucky, that is definitely one of the coolest colors for an OB. You should take it out for a spin when you start it so all the fluids warm up. Won't hurt as long as it's short distances on clean roads.

Can't wait to see the updated pics of the wells.

Beautiful! Please keep them coming!

PS - how did you remove the cosmoline from the wheel wells and parts? What did you use?
