Nope. This was a state-of-the-art 1982 affair that this dealer installed even before the car was placed on the showroom floor for potential customers to ogle:

Kie, if you have more stories you should write a book, I mean, the countach, blue82 and the fox, that's three chapters of riveting entertainment right there.

Thanks Kie,
That's really cool and caught my eye right away. I would love to find one of those.

James,
Thanks for sharing the pictures. I hope you document as much as you can about this car and take tons of photos. For some it's all about a 78 or a GTS but this is a really cool find and is a perfect example for us 80-84 guys to live up to. I would really enjoy some more engine shots.

I've read the Countach and Blue82 threads, what's the Fox, and where can I read about it? ( I assume this isn't a VW fox we're talking about.... )

are the wires for the walk behind remote control?

That color is odd and stunning at the same time. It needs a professional photo op with nice blue sky and ocen in the back ground.

Oh you flatter me, blush. But I must admit that being a one-person show in the business has placed me in some interesting situations for sure. The Countach and Blue82 are certainly the highlights, but yes there are more. I once sold a Ducati 748R to a homeless man in jail who later got out and donated it to the US Army after riding it to Alaska. And here is a real-life bad guy that I helped put behind bars. His real name... Michael Knight!

Now that is a kick *** car. I love everything about that car. The color, condition. WOW. Only thing is you can never drive it....that would be a crime.

Yea, I would have preferred that it had just been in very good condition with like 80k miles on it...then I would drive the freakin' wheels off of it!! Alas, I just go look at it in the climate controlled garage and stroke it lovingly every day!

It actually sounds VERY GOOD... They did all kinds of stuff for that stereo system. They replaced ALL the stock speakers and added a "sub floor" in the rear floor board area (I think Kie documented that) to hide all the amps. It was VERY, VERY pro done.

Interestingly (as Kie pointed out) the dealership had this done, but they didn't want to divulge the cost. So there is the receipt for all the work and the parts of the receipt with the prices have LITERALLY BEEN CUT OUT! Pretty funny!

Oh, they also put in the STATE OF THE ART theft deterrent system of the day... The UNGO BOX!
