Default 91 Tool Kit Photo of Mine Added

91 Tool Kit

I did a search and did not find my answer.

I have a 91 928 and it seems that some of the tool slots are empty.

Anyone have a photo of what a complete tool kit includes ?

Thanks

James

I don't have a pic handy, but remember that from 91 onwards, the screw driver handle was transparent red, not yellow as on the previous years.

Also, if you reorder the pliers, they have a red plastic coating on the handles, while the originals didn't have that.

I will upload a photo of mine as soon as I figure out how to do it.

It seems That 1 slot bottom left is empty and 1 or 2 slots bottom right.

The slot below the screw driver is either the Phillips head extension or the flat head extension for the Screw Driver handle. (The extension pulls out of the handle) It depends on what extension you already have in the red SD handle. The long slot below that is a longer SD extension I think? I don't have that one either. I don't have the tool for the slot at the left either so, I don't know that one either.

Someday I want to complete my set also.

Here's your picture

The missing tool is the hex-headed handle for moving the seats manually or closing/opening the sunroof manually.

The tool described is a _/--\__ shaped tool that spans the two sides of the picture.

There are two pieces missing:

1. One of the inserts for the screw driver (there should be one philips and one flat one

2. The crank thingie that Dr. Bob descries above

All the above sets are missing the sun roof opening tool for a '90+ MY. My panel does not have a place for it so it just resides in the rear storage compartment. The later sunroof's have a split 'flat screw driver' with a handle to open & close them manually.
All this may of courece be wrong and is entirely based on my vehicle.

The bottom-left slot is the handle for the spark-plug socket (just a simple rod, see the pic's above).

PS: Check with Mark or Tom and 928 int'l, they have bins full of used tools in decent shape.
