When I would come back from the track or autoX my wife would sometimes say that I "spend more time with my car and I must love it more than her..." To which I would reply "Honey, I just love it in different ways!"

Of course, she has a horse. She has a relationship w/ it not dissimiliar than I do w/ my car.

She told me a joke once...
"What is the difference between a horse and a man?"
"Well, one is a big, dumb animal...
And the other is a beautiful horse!"

Wait, I thought Canada was less strict than the U.S. and allows you to have more than one wife!

see if you can transplant some "ride height" adjusters on the wife, and go with the heavy duty shocks for that expanding rear end!

I will probably get this wrong, but what was that line from 'The Ten Commandments' where Yul Brenner is telling the princes that he will love her like his horses ... only more.

my wife knows my cars/bike are my mistresses, and she hates them all.

Boy, my wife is absolutely great, she went over every color choice when I painted my euro. She gets interrupted to hold this or that while I install it and she loves this car. When she drives it her hands get sweaty, so you need a new wife or get her involved.

yes, I meant Princess.

after 31+ yrs I think I'll keep her. she used to love my 911, until it morphed into a track car.

I forgot to mention. she is one of the most financially frugal women I have ever know. so in my case the wife is cheaper.

I'm a horse widower so I don't have any problem with my toys and the missus. She's always with her bluddy horses anyway.

Not many wives/gf's would put up with engines in the kitchen and racing bikes in the sitting room and bedrooms lol so I have to accept her saddles and tack hanging off the stair posts and bits of straw everywhere

My wife and I went to the go karts the other night and met up with the local guy's. She LOVED it and the guy's.. When she was done she said she would like to get a 928 so we can go to the track together. She also stated that it would have to be as fast as mine.(more parts) I am not sure if that is a good or a bad thing. I quess since the price has dropped on the OB's she will be getting one when I am done with my current mods.

One thing I know for sure, like death and taxes. If my wife isn't happy, I am not happy!

If you are ever presented the question, "It's either the car or me," you can always plead the 5th.

from a similar discussion, one of my track buddies noted, "you can sleep in a car but cannot driver a house."
