1993 Polar Silver 5-speed GTS for sale
I've owned a 1993 GTS for over 10 years now and still love it, but lately just haven't been able to give it the time it deserves. The wife and I are starting a family (little girl is almost 2, with another on the way) and along with all my weekend chores this doesn't leave many chances to drive the Porsche -- so it sits in the garage with a trickle charger. We actually have 4 cars, so at times it's also just plain in the way (I know, blasphemy to say that about a Porsche!).
I'm considering selling the car to someone who will appreciate it. I'm getting the word out to the 928 community before heading toward the AutoTrader/Yahoo Autos/Recycler route.
You can see the photos here:

The option codes as listed on the "birth certificate" are:
C02 331 570 650 692
The exterior color is Polar Silver Metallic, paint code 92E. Porsche floor mats and trunk liner are black.
As you can see from the photos, the car has 93,500 miles on it. The car also includes the original luggage cover (not shown) and all the spare parts I have, including hoses/fluids/t-stat for a coolant change.
Dash has no cracks. Woofers had their foam surrounds replaced a few years ago, and the radio sounds great.
Original spare, compressor, and tool kit are included. Mirror bras included.
Car is completely stock, except for a rear muffler bypass (original muffler is included in the sale) and the factory wheels that have been polished. The only non-functional item I know of is the front-right tire pressure pickup. Car has used only Mobil-1 synthetic oil.
The car is located in the So Cal area (OC). Please email me off-list if interested. It's hard to judge an asking price, both because of the rarity and also because of today's economy. I can only find a few GTS's available nationwide, and they're all automatics, so this one is somewhat unique -- those cars are listed for around $35k, so that's where I'm starting my asking price.
I'm definitely going to miss this car!
Thanks,
Peter

Beautiful car, I love Polar Silver and that interior combination in very unique! Wish I had room for a second GTS! With 93K miles you're just about all broken in ... good luck with the sale.

Come on Tom! Suck it up man... You NEED another GTS bro! You are one behind me...not to mention we need a '93 and a '95 in Austin so we can cover all the model years of the GTS's!
Nice looking car btw. Looks like Classic gray and Dove gray and black floor mats and luggage cover (maybe)...seems like starting in '94 they were doing mostly monotone color interiors... I prefer the dual colors myself (81 is Brown/Beige and 88 is black/Linen 84 is Can Can/Black).

A while back I posted a notice that I'm selling my 1993 silver GTS. Lots of
interest has been shown since then, but I still have no firm offers, so I wanted
to post again to let everyone know that the car is still available.
The original asking price was $35k with room to negotiate. Since then, I've
lowered this to $30k, which is a real steal for a GTS 5-speed, especially one in
such good condition. Car has seen minimal use since this I put it up for sale.
Pictures are available here:

And some VIN and document photos:

So, if you're looking to buy yourself a really awesome Christmas present, drop
me a line!

Peter, I can't believe you have not sold that car yet. I think it is more of an comment on the current economy than your car! There is just not that much money getting passed around even now...everyone is still very cautious. There might be more money in Dec as folks cash out before the HUGE tax increase coming Jan 1!

This is a beautiful car. Have you considered going the Ebay route with this? Afshin recently got $35K for his low mileage GT on Ebay. It took a few auctions, but it sold. This was after he had offered it on Rennlist for quite a while. That is a special car, but so is any 5spd GTS in great condition like yours.

Very nice clean car.
I know something is different with the body then on my 89 but can't put my finger on it.
Is it the fenders or wheel wells (dead cat hole ha ha ) that are a different shape?
