Default headlights

so i have recently started to lean more towards the 928 over my current favorites but those damn headlights on the 928 i just cant stand them lol. i was wondering if there was some form of body kit/ after market modification to change up those headlights to anything other then the pop up bug eyes.

something like the flat pop ups on the 944, or even just as they are, the round doesn't look bad its just when they pop up lol, maybe some sort of stationary mod that does not require them to pop up.

links? pics?

You might want to consider a late model 944 (951) Turbo?

Logan,

Putting your bizarre sense of esthetic's aside for a moment , do a search here for "projector". There have been a couple of projector headlight conversions that might be what you are looking for...

Check Jacquemond like Nicole says.
They will ask you for your email to get pricing. He emailed me Monday 2-22-10 and said they were having a production session on Wed 2-24-10. He offered a discount of about 30% if I ordered in time for this current production run. I wasnt really looking for a body kit just wanted to see what they had.

One thing to consider, most of the lights used with the Jacquemond kits are HID, which will produce a brighter and better pattern than even the 8" lamps on the later 928's.

Logan, you might just want to consider a different car...while you can do the change over to something different it will probably cost as much as a mid '80's S model to actually make happen and look RIGHT!

Good luck though! I always like to see how others have changed their cars up and made them look cool!

I thought exactly the same thing...

the first time my wife saw the headlights rotate up - she laughed...

But I think its a quite iconic feature of a 928 - I wouldn't have it any other way...

What you say is possibly true of USA H5 headlights - compared to ROW H4's I have never seen any aftermarket solution that comes even close to the quality of the pattern - and with brighter bulbs there is little functinal (or cost) reason to bother....
