Default 928's in the Texas Snow

Well it has been snowing all day and we have about 6" so far. It will not stop until midnight then we are expecting a deep freeze.
Never seen so much snow in Texas.
I am glad this is Global Warming and not Global Freezing.

If the car is run right before the big snow hits, latent engine heat will melt some of the snow and form icicle shark teef on the nose of the shark.

Sweet Pea is a better name for a 928 than Copper Turd.

Ye gods! Just a little damp and chilly down the road in Austin today. Imagine, doing 'donuts' in a 928 ...

My former GT, the one I sold to RKD in OKC about 10 years ago, was my daily driver. As long as I was careful, I got around reasonably well on the white stuff, even with Bridgestone S02 Pole Position summer tires.

Funny how it's overcast and 42 degrees in Tulsa today, yet Dallas has 6" of snow. Don't see that very often.

The S03 Pole Positions SUCKED on that 90GT. I had to go get some Faulkin M+S to get around on the OKC ice then snow stuff. Lift the throttle or push in the clutch too abruptly and it would immediately swap ends. I almost slid into a guard rail following a sand truck! Maybe it was the hp improvements I did to the car eh?

My GTS gets around surprisingly well with the summer/track Dunlop Direnzas. It's the chunks of thick ice the 4 wheel drives throw at me that rip the belly pan off that got me.

3rd or 4th snow in the D/FW area this year! We have had just a little here and there 2 or 3 times even in AUSTIN! Damn global warming is going to freeze us all!

I LOVE SWEET PEA...well, I love the color! I want a '78 in that color...I wanted Kermit, but he is back in Germany now...sad. If the new job works out maybe I will be able to build the new garage and get a few more 928's...cause 8 is NEVER ENOUGH!

So Roger, did you leave the UK to escape the snow?
