Awesome Interior

I do the plastic color match in house with a 3 step industrial system that fuses the pigments to the plastic.
The other way is to actually cover every part with leather. Doable, but not recommended. The leather as to be skived by more than half. All the edges have to be treated with filler and pigment, much like a belt or a watch band is. That is all both time consuming and expensive. The end result is a vent that is heavier and harder to manipulate and also harder to clean.
Covers for the other parts you mentioned are straightforward and easy.

That is what the factory did on that last US GTS! Probably why it had a sticker price of what $165k or something insane like that?! I don't remember exactly how much it was but do remember almost falling over when I read it! The article said, EVERYTHING IN THE CAR IS COVERED IN LEATHER. They specifically even mentioned the vents! CRAZY! LOVE to know where that car ended up and to see some better pics of it again! Even better love to see it in person!

That settles the debate on which part of my interior to have Paul do first.
I'm starting with the stalks on the steering column and the seat belt latches

Oh, yea...most ALL of those little pieces are just VERY THIN leather glued in to place. Pauls point is still relevant though and that is that the edges of the leather have to be dyed after the piece is cut out.
Have you seen Paul's seat back releases?! WOW!

Nice leather work in that first pic, a bit too stuffed but certainly nice.
The work that Paul does can't be compared to something like this, his work is simply exceptional. I've seen and sat in his diamond pattern seats and they look outstanding. Not only that but they are even more comfortable than the stock 928 seats which IMHO are one of the most comfortable seats I've ever sat in.
As I've said many times in the past, we are very fortunate to have two 928 aficianado's (Paul & Rob) who are also leather artisans.
That post above with the Porsche Leather Option List is awesome. It inspired me to take a few shots showing these options in the car. I know that Merlin and a few others have even more leather options so hopefully they can post a few shots of their unique cars.

Does suede count as leather? Maybe I’ve been watching too much Speed this winter, but it seems a lot of the car shops are putting it on the headliner. I’m thinking it may also cut down on road noise in the cabin. Has anyone tried it?
And thanks TV for posting that picture of the linen/blue on the first page! I have an all blue interior (and carpet) with raspberry seats and center console. I’ve been trying to figure out how to make it look more like the raspberry belongs. I had Paul make some raspberry door inserts--but it still doesn't look right. I think the white carpet is it!
