The sun came out, the temp was perfect and 9 cars showed up. What more could you ask? Good to see everyone. Here are some pics
Julie and I were the first to arrive (yes I actually talked my wife into attending a 928 event, helps when it's 4 miles from the house) and I was determined to stake out the back row in the parking lot. While we are waiting, two matching silver vetts pull up and back into OUR row.... I'm thinking ok, great, there's a vette group that has the same idea and are meeting here for lunch too. I get out the car and walk over to the vettes, ready to ask them to kindly move their cars, but it turned out one of them was a 928 owner and they were there for our gathering.
The 550 HP RUF 930? (I think), was a sweet looking car and belongs to DocV8 above who is bidding on a 928. It was good to meet him and hopefully he'll be a 928 owner soon.
The beautiful Murf car belongs to a non-Rennlister named Bud. Good to see Bud again.
BTW, we're talking about Texas World Speedway next month for the Porsche/BMW club races which falls on the 3rd Sat. It would be fun to combine with the Austin gathering and maybe even the DFW gathering, and have a huge group of sharks show up. This is a free event with lots of room to spread out and watch the action. Think about it....

Hey guys and gals, sorry I couldn't stay. Next time I promise to bring my SO and stay a while. Nice turn out with some new faces too.
Sanjay, great to meet you... very nice RUF Turbo you have there. Best of luck landing that 928. If it's the one I'm thinking of, it's a sweet one. LOVE that cork interior!
ATB,
Bill

Nordschleife Master
It was owned by a PCA member... that is usually a good sign... Neat color. What is it?
Congrats. Must be an '87...you can tell by the black rubber piece between the fog light and the front blinker lens in that last pic...

Congrats! PM me if you want to swing by sometime and we can look it over for anything that might need attention. Looks like it's in pretty good shape though.

Well, I had Mark Robinson do a PPI on it already....he gave it the thumbs up. Aside from replacing gaskets...just need to check the thrust bearing clearances and get Paul C to do my dash!
