Default Newbie Intro

Hi everyone,

Just wanted to introduce myself. I recently (finally) purchased my first 928 - a 1988 Marine Blue/Linen which just cracked 100k. PO and Nicole from Hooked on Cars both told me how great this forum is for owners so I'm taking a look around.

You've probably already seen these since PO is a member (OpusX67) but since it appears to be customary I'm including some pics of my new baby.

See you around

Very nice! Plus 1 on the color combo, definitely one of the best...not that I'm biased or anything.

Enjoy it.

Thanks to everyone for the compliments. I can't take credit for any of it though because PO handed it to me as is (lucky for me). I only have minor updates in mind. I got the LED upgrades for the interior lights, instrument cluster, HVAC, and clock from Nicole. I also got from her the clear lenses to change out the turn signal, sidemarkers and foglight trim. Those are going in this week and (if I work up the courage) I might try my hand at masking the taillights (amber to red) like she suggested. I just have to figure out the right paint for this.

Only other things I'm looking into-which I'm ploughing through the forum researching-are:

-HIDs (apparently not as straightforward as purchasing a kit like I had hoped so I have to educate myself re the options, differences among H4, H5, 7", 8", Hella, DOT etc etc etc...lol)

-Headunit with Ipod control but minus "bling" (can't believe how few options there are out there that maintain stock look while being digital media friendly)

Anyway, thanks again! I'm glad I found this forum and I'm looking forward to learning from the collective knowledge on here and hopefully give back someday. Be seeing you around...

Great looking car and the Marine Blue ones are the fastest. Don't let anyone else tell you different.
