Default Need a windshield???

I just saw this posting on eBay. Sounds like a good deal if you need a windshield - indicated as green tint, radio antenna, Sigla brand. No relationship with seller - just wanted to alert anyone who needs one.

Yep, those built-in antennea windshields are hard to come by. Thanks, Gary.

I bought from these guys a few years ago for my '85, Richard there knows what he is talking about, nice guy. They are legit.

I got mine shipped out here to Seattle, arrived nicely crated, no damage.

I may buy one of these for my S4.

Thanks for the heads up Gary!

One tip I recieved, do NOT sign for the shipment until you check to see that the glass is intact. Some drivers don't like waiting for you to do this, but insist. Opening the top of my crate was easy, only took a minute.

I see they do ship insured, but it's best to determine the condition of the item upon arrival so there is no question about when it was damaged, that is if its damaged.

Like I said, mine came nicely crated. -Ed

I see they have these listed for 85-95. There no real reason this wouldn't work in an 84 is there?

I also bought one of these last year. I'm very happy with it.

What does the antenna conection look like? My 84 appears to have an antenna in the windshield but I can not find the connector to be able to use it. Sorry for the hi-jack

He states in the ad that they have windshields for early, non antenna years, for less available.

I just got a Sigla tinted windshield for my '89, $261 installed, from SafeLite. That is easily the best deal for non-Chinese glass I have yet to see.

I contacted the seller to see what the price on the older version is. Will let you know what his reply is.

'84 cars should have the antenna on the drivers side rear fender, not in the windshield, but I doubt there is any reason an antenna embedded windshield wouldn't work for an early car. Probably cheaper to get one w/o it though. The hard to find glass is the BRONZE tint glass! Usually MUCH more expensive than the green. I went green in my early car because the only bronze we could find at the time was $2000 and needed to come out of GERMANY! OMG! Like Bill my green one was under $300 installed!

That is a smoking deal. I think I will look locally to see what I can find. Last time there was nothing reasonable available.

Also, check with your insurance coverage, some policies cover windshields.

My policy has no glass coverage. I dropped it as it added $100/month.

From the seller...

Sorry, we have not had them on Ebay for a few months but we do have and I
can forward some pictures later on if needed. They run $242 bronze tint or
$302 green tint with green shade band. There is a $25 carton/ crate fee +
$115 truck freight if going to Mi. This is based on sending to a business or
freight terminal pick up.
Let me know we can list this eve on a separate auction.
Thank you,
Richard

$242 for a bronze is NICE! I ought to look in to it again to get the green one pulled from my '81 and if they get it out w/o breaking it hang on to that one and get the bronze one back in the '81 to match all the other windows!
