Does any members know if this steering wheel part number will fit on a 1990s4. 944 347 804 50 FFF-My old wheel part number is 944 347 804 51 AJ.

I tried to put a 928 steering wheel from a 93 on a 78 and the splines do not match. Does anyone know when the splines changed?

I think the splines were changed when the airbag wheel was introduced.

if they have the wheel have them measure the inside of the wheel for the shaft opening and you do the same on yours

I'm not sure about part numbers and fitment but I have just been replacing the baskets under the steering wheels (non air bag) they are only held on with 4 rivets just carefully grind them off. Use the original basket and splines and rerivet onto the new steeringwheel. 3 spoke and 4 spoke wheels use the same basket so swapping them is easy. Not sure if that will help you but good luck.
