Engine complete is a PITA to ship, so you pretty much have to live with what the local market will support.

Good rule of thumb, you might get half of what parts list for in the 928Intl catalog, many times less.

I'll post a pic of interior & engine when I get home from work. Also the vin. I'm not ready to part it yet...unless I can pre sell a few big pieces. Seems a shame with a nice southern car as a few I looked at here in the Great White North years ago had corrosion problems around the chassis.
Thanks guys.

Sadly the car as a whole with out an engine is going to be hard to get 1500 out of. But at teh same time, the transmission will pull 1500 on this board fairly easy... How do I know? I have a spare and have been offered over 1500 3 times..... Is weird how it all plays out with parting vs selling the whole care. If teh seats are nice 400, the tool kit, god knows... complete manual set.. 250.00

Yes but you are in the US, shipping on large and heavy parts from here is a killer. Does your transmission has lsd?

His transmission is automatic.

Parting one out is not for everybody.

I remember this car on Kijiji as well. I contemplated looking at it when I bought mine but at the time is was priced about the same as I paid for the one I bought and it was in better shape.

Parting out a car is a big job as Imre says, a one year commitment minimum and it will be tough to get your money out of it. Good luck!

I was about to ask if you'd deliver it to Minot, ND.

Got you confused with a Saskatchawanite.

You're actually close to Pennsylvania.

I have an engine in Erie pa. But I dont know what it woudl take to get it across the border. I will give it the 90 gaurantee you will get it across the border. After you hit Rt 90 on your way home the gaurantee is over. Ill take 999.00 for the engine and give you the stand it is on.

I would bet if you spent a little time advertising it you would have no problem getting $3.5k for it.

Put ads on,

http://toronto.en.craigslist.ca/

http://www.buysell.com/

http://www.autotrader.ca

I would not recommend parting a car unless you like really like dealing with people asking for a $17.00 (new) A/C bracket for $5.00

vin=WPOJB0926GS8620** The car is equipped with rear A/C also which did work until end of last summer when it ran low on freon. I haven't re-charged.
It also has a new Devek rad, PW switches, sunroof motor, rear hatch struts, dash pad and a few more parts I can't remember. I still haven't heard back from the guy who inquired about the engine, so he is probably like the rest of the wannabe buyers. Man, this is the toughest car I have ever tried to sell and I'm down under 50% what I thought it was worth! Is it just a tough market or have these cars tanked that bad?

How does it run and shift?
New motor mounts?
Timing Belt and WP, but who did it and what parts were used?
Fuel lines?
What mechanical / electrical work has been done?
Pictures of engine bay?

The problem with selling a 928 in Ontario is that you have to find the right buyer or else it will be tought to sell. Right now is the worst time to sell a sports car, especcially a 928 (middle of winter, right after Christmas when everyone maxed out their CCs). If you can, wait till spring. Put some swithces in the centre console, toss and old radio in it so it doesn't look like someone ripped everything out. The missing front spoiler is a deterrant to the average buyer but if the interrior looks good (centre console is all together) it might get an interested buyer. Don't mention how much you spent on the interrior or the car as it makes the car sound like a money pit. Let the pictures do the talking.
