Alright Ed, lets recreate a scerario for you to ponder...

Okay, so this ridiculously hot woman comes up to you and comments how much she loves your 928. She says she's dreamed about one in this particular color since she was a teenager (which was last week).
She mentions she has a pasha bikini in here purse, which as it happens, matches the pasha in your car.
All these coincidences add up to one great idea in your head, and as if inspired by a higher power, your comment to the lovely lady...
"I'm a photographer".
Now whether or not this is true, everyone knows how ridiculously hot, barely legal woman, with pasha bikinis in their purses LOVE photographers.
You believe what is happening here is called a serendipity.
So with you utmost restraint not to ask her out to TGI Friday's, you ask, "May I take your photo? That is all, that is it.
And of course, this ridiculously hot woman, with all the right stuff going on (in her purse), just happens to be freshman at Berkeley (she's on spring break in Bozeman). So she's got that going for her too. In her infinite wisdom suggests...
"Would you take a picture of me by your car"
Wow! She read your mind.
You - "Uh.... okay, if it's not too much trouble....."
She responds, "I have this bikini, would you mind?"

See, now this is where you might think she would suggest posing on your hood...
But guess what happens to be your next great idea? And one that goes against all logic and Porsche ethic.
"Would you pose on the hood?"
It seems almost natural.... your just going with it.
"UH ALRIGHT...."

Done correctly, posed correctly on the fender, you could get all the headlights in the same picture.

Just sayin'...

Never tried ANY of my headlight washers!

If you are careful there is no harm and no foul placing a 100# hottie just about ANYWHERE on your car!

Thanks guys, this car has been a REALLY fun save and is one hell of a car too!

Bump for the basket cases thread... For me the pics are on pages 10, 11 and 12 and show the car before much of any of my work was done to it to make it really nice...

Just made a high speed pass through the thread and noticed I did not post a GOOD pic of the glowing sill plate. This is the Paul and Hans lighted sill plate kit. I used a red acetate on top of the white fiber optic sheet so that it always looks red even in direct sun, but any time there is shade or at night it glows a GORGEOUS RED! It is REALLY, REALLY COOL!

Ha! Just read the updated posts on this thread since my last post. Damn Jim, still not sure I could just go with it But if Dr Bob is correct, mebee, and what Chris suggests turns it downright into a wet t-shirt event in which case, I'm all in

I took EURO85 out for a spin tonight! WOW! What a car. I have been under the weather and still am, but at least for a little while I forgot about feeling terrible!

Sometimes the car has a pronounced hesitation from 4500-5500 or so but NOT TONIGHT! WOW! Car ran GREAT!!!! Kicked the tail out several times just for fun and man it was pulling all the way to red line and then a nice firm shift! SA-WEET!!!

Here are some shots of my fav ladies with one of my fav cars! ENJOY!

Just thought I would bump this back up tonight. Just feeling some love for EURO85... Took it out a couple of days ago and man, this car just gets better all the time! When you are going down the road and hit it, it takes it just a second to clear its throat and then it just blasts off! Nothing like my S4 or GTS's, but this car has had a hard life. I suspect with some careful tuning this thing would be a beast at any speed though!

Also, I was thinking one of our 928 car painters had been in on this thread but I couldn't find any posts to that end. There was a guy in FL who really likes 928's and has painted several and I was talking to him about painting this car... now I have the other project he might be interested in...

So if any of you guys know a REALLY GOOD 928 painter have them contact me please! The closer to CenTX the better too...

James--

Got to thinking last week about TB projects that had passed through here, looking ahead to doing my own again. Had to resurrect this thread for some reminders of how much your car has improved since it left SoCal.

So, got time to post some two-years-later thoughts and maybe some current pics?

Has it been that long ago?

This was a near-epic find and save.
