I didn't want to speak about it since many of you know the owner and his family and also didn't want to tip anyone to it's sale:

Yup, for the price someone got a lot of car. The key is not the mileage but the way it has been cared for and certainly parts would not be a problem for that car to get fixed with, hence it was always kept in top condition is my guess! A bit high on the miles maybe, but as long as the interior is not worn out (which would be my only real concern with the mileage) then the car was a veritable bargain at $10k I would think...

The car had been repainted but it was done right so far as I could see from pix.
A dealer here in the east bought the car. I might end up paying more to get it later...ugh...

"Would not respond to request to view car 1st, canceled transaction instead." from previous listing of this car I think. Might be more to the story than this, but surely, if he wanted to sell he would have accomodated the buyer. his feedback is 66%, not too cool.

After the person bid and won the car and the auction was over he asked to have the car checked out before he went forward with the sale. My son was more than willing to have that done before the auction closed.

If nothing else, it was a great learning experience.
Thanks everyone!

Yes my son learned lots as well through the experience. It took selling it 3 times before someone actually went through with the money.
