Power steering problem?

Power steering problem?
I have never driven a 79 928 before so I have no reference. I think there may be a problem w/ my steering but I really don't know.
When the car is stationary, should I be able to turn the steering wheel w/ one hand, palm on the steering wheel being able to turn the wheel. I can not on mine, it takes two hands to turn the wheel, park move etc.
Is there a problem or are they built this way?

Not hard, I can almost do it with one. So it sounds about right.
Tampa, Thanks. I need to come out soon and check out your new paint! I should finally be putting in that short throw you told me about!

928s have heavy, heavy steering, comparatively. When done properly with stiff and new bushings in the steering and arms, and new tie rods and ball joints, this feels pretty good at speed. Still heavy, but pretty good. When things are loose it just contributes to a willowy feeling.
More pressure and less friction in the system would do wonders for the tactile feeling in the steering.

Pretty normal for a 79.
I put a 100bar pump on it (like the 91 and newer cars have) and it made the steering easier at parking lot speeds. If I had to do it all over again, I'd switch back to stock as I like the heavier feel of the wheel.
