I have the Bosch book, but it is not horribly useful. Perhaps the Watson is better, but kinda expensive. My WUR has a metal rod inside it which actually actuated the fuel valve, I think. I was able to adjust mine my replacing the rod with a longer one (1/16" brass rod), and found I could tune the control pressure by filing the end of the rod. Lots of assembly and disassembly involved, of course. So I got the cold and hot pressures right, but never had a clue how the vacume was supposed to effect things.

I was in this area of wsm last night. I have never worried about the effect vacuum was supposed to have, but noted that the test is that from control of 2.8-3.2bar no vacuum, to vacuum applied, pressures should RISE .6 bar , which would lean out the mixture..??
Check out the earlier link I posted at
http://www.benzworld.org/forums/w126...libration.html
This says basically :- to set hot control - assemble WUR without the bimetallic strip, connect with pressure gauge set, bridge pump relay; tap cast regulator body INWARDS to increase control, outwards (from inside) to reduce hot control.
Cold control - get pressure needed for the ambient temp. assemble with bimetallic strip, but no voltage applied. tap pin/bolt that carries strip IN to body to lower cold control, out (from inside) to raise cold control.
In the spare WUR I got from ebay germany recently, I found FIVE gauze filter discs under the inlet connction!!!! Different fineness mesh, with the finest in the middle. They were clean, I could blow through, but I could not see light through them.
I aslo think the strip heater has different specs for different warm up times....some are around 18ohm, others 24 and so on. Not sure if the main springs differ from model to model.

Roger, if you have confirmed that they have the proper fittings for the 928 K-Jet, I'll take one.

Roger,
Do you know what the coarse threads on the adaptors are please? I am trying to build a calibrating rig for my spare WURs, and I need a piece to go from one of the guage connections to a clamped hose fitting.
Thanks

Hi,

Are these kits still available? What is the price with shipping and handling outside US?
Thanks.

Ah those prices. So the fittings are confirmed?

As for the vacuum attachments/functions, last I checked a good write up (framed as a rebuild, but very descriptive) was available via the Landsharkoz site.
