Thanks Sanjay... it is still a 'work in progress', as time & funds allow.
You will see plenty of that when you get to the next SITM... no matter if the owner is restoring, modifying or racing their 928 -there's always something more that can be done to make it 'perfect' to them.
I have quite a few shots in various threads here on RL, namely from SITM '06 & '09 (including some shot by fellow RListers)
Here's a few from SITM '09 (one from outside 928 Specialists):

Sanjay,
Now that you've joined PCA, you need to consider the "real club" for 928 owners. It is: 928 Owners Club, You can join online - www.928ownersclub.com . The club sponsors gatherings around the country at various venues - including Sharks in the Mountains at Banner Elk NC (first weekend in August), Frenzy in Washington DC (~ 1st of August), and ~ every 3 years an international convention (last one in Dallas TX, 2009). We'd love to have you as a member.

It was technically a private sale, but brokered by Viva! Las Vegas Autos. I worked directly with the owner and had little interaction with the dealership. The owner had some connection to the dealer so he had them market the car for him.

I jast had a 996 shipped on an open. It was really dirty but the car was fine. I guess it depends, is it a garage queen or are you going to drive it?
If you drive it home. See when the TB was done and have a proper alignment done.

I'm having it shipped (not an easy decision), it was loaded last night and should be here before next weekend. It's in an enclosed carrier so there should be no issues, but I had a car shipped open a few years ago and the same as you...dirty, but otherwise fine.
It won't be a daily driver, but not a garage queen easier. I plan on using at least every weekend (if the car cooperates)
