FWIW... I've accurately measured about (6) un-molested S4 blocks and they ranged from 9.134 to 9.142inches. To be "safe", I have been using 9.134 in my stack up calcs.
If you have not done this measurement, it's somewhat tricky as the span is large and one end is "over ball" as measured off the main bearing line bore.
