Brendan just wants to know what it is like to actually drive a 928.

Its really nice. Secure feeling after the e30 bmw. Plus it has a monstrously larger amount of grip, and mid corner stability.

Its nice. I love 928s, no matter how much I want to change them, I just really really love the cars. I may have grown somehow, as I don't remember hitting the roof with my head as much. I'm sure its just an adaptation.

Yep. Just kidding. Kind of.

Even the sort of finicky shifting is coming back to me. Clutch in... Wait, put in first. No hurrying. Even when warm.

Clutch take up is really low on the pedal - I forgot if that was normal or if I need to adjust the dual plate. Can someone refresh my memory?

I can see it now.... Brendan with the driver door open bent over making sniffing sounds, the wife opens the garage door and sees his *** up in the air and says... 'Honey? What the HELL are you doing?'

This really hit me funny because I never would have expected this from you Steve! (I'm a newbie but I've read the whole story of "Leroy")

Yep. I love 928s. I fit a humungus box in the back today simply by putting the rear seats down. Hatch closed perfectly (separate key? May have to fix that). The box wouldn't have fit in either of my other "practical" cars.

The vibration in the shifter worries me. I have been doing some research, and if its the TT I have an extra one I can quickly rebuild and put in.

I also have an S4 thickness front bar I think. Its just sitting there. Wasn't 80 one of the years the bar was thinner or was it changed to the thicker diameter by then?

Brendan - don't fix too much... or at least - just fix one thing at a time until its all back together.... if you find yourself wanting to unbolt something else WYAIT just slap yourself in the face...
