Cool Winter plans for my 928....

Hi All

My plans for the car for during the winter...

1, A few Revos and hopefully a set of X10`s, (probably have to go braided pipe as well to run 500 hp per Revo x 4) which will mean a night or two in Doncaster

That lot is the new Nitrous equipment I was waiting for and will give me a "Theoretical" maximum 2000 hp if needed plus my normal 310 ish of course

Cost approx £3000.

2, I will change my Clifford alarm system for the new 650 system (BEING FITTED NOW), nothing wrong with old system but 650 is better....

It will give me "Intellistart" (remote control starting)...don`t you just hate getting in a cold car lol...

Also "Smart windows/Sunroof" ...autoclosing plus one touch open close etc...

Blackjax AntiHijacking system....if car jacked you just give them the keys and off they drive for about 30 seconds then alarm siren goes off plus all lights flash plus ignition slowly shuts down.

Dual Proximity alarm, warns anyone away from car if closer than 2 feet, etc....

Cost approximately £700

I do love my gadgets lol.....

3, Try and figure out a way to stop the rain hitting my rear central camera.....1 drop of rain and I cannot see anything at the moment

Cost unknown..apart from a few more grey hairs...

And anything else I can think of as long as it doesn't put the car off the road (daily driver)

......................................................................

Anyone else got major or minor plans for the winter ?

All the best Brett

I'm planning on building up a turbo system using a GT35R and a Haltech E6k. Hoping for 500whp and to have it ready to take on Power Tour in June.

Alright... I've got Bilsteins and Eibachs on all four corners to go on. I've got 928 Motorsports headers, header x, and hi-flo cats with a custom cat back exhaust (muffler in the air), I just got a sharktuner st-1 to figure out. Just today I ordered a used motor from 928 Int ( at 50% off) to rebuild for..... the 928 specialists twin screw supercharger I've ordered!!!! I think I've got a problem! (thinking about big reds)

Hi All

Just got the car back from the alarm fitter....

New Clifford 650 all fitted...

I now have "Autoclose" on both windows and sunroof as well, so if I leave any windows or roof open and get out of car and alarm it, they all close automatically....

The new "Intellistart" is brilliant, just aim remote from up to 50 meters away, press remote start button, and a couple of seconds later you can hear the V8 rumble into life, and the alarm is still fully activated, and if you forget, it will cut out after 30 minutes

So am looking forward to a warm car to drive to work tomorrow.....

On Sunday I will test the "Blackjax" antihijacking system and let you all know.

All the best Brett

Default Winter.......

Some things this winter,

1. Big, Really BIG brakes
2. Custom Rad, Laminova Oil/Trans combo HD cooler, AWIC tank for #3
3. Twin Screw SC using Sharktuned LH/EZK as stage 1, and Stage 2 using a Motec in Spring with traction control
4. Steamroller wheels and Toyos sitting in the garage awaiting brake hats and spacers

The associated SC parts are the most complex of the bunch, as the enitre intake plenum and intake runners are being replaces with this... Lots of fabrication to do..

Hi Brett; I was wondering what is the largest shot you have hit the car with to date?

I plan to do a five speed conversion and also bring my squawk list to zero, again, and again.

Hi

Only got to 800 so far, and even that was a bit scary as the wheels were spinning and it went slightly sideways at 140 mph (where I activated it) as i have to take it in small steps until I fit my new Revos this winter, once those are fitted and it will come in perfectly smoothly,I can just set whatever I wish in my Maxx Race controller.... from 1 hp to 2000 lol

All the best Brett

Install the parts that are sitting on the shelf:
Euro H4
M28/11
Supercharger (probably not this winter)
Others thing that are needed:
Tie rods
Suspension bushings
Flexible fuel lines
What ever is dripping ATF from the power steering
Finish out the rear interior treatment
The long awaited custom headliner

Hey Richard..........are the blue areas on your drawing the intercoolers? What are you using for heat exchangers?

Hi David,

Yes, the blue things are AWIC intercoolers. The cores are from Laminova, a Swedish company that makes coolers for all sorts of things..
The attached is a pic of a combination engine/trans cooler also from Laminova that I have for the car as well... This pic is from the literature, but the box just came today, and I have not snapped any pics yet.. Here are some pics of how the stuff works..

Do a search on my Rennlist handle if you like, and you can find a bunch of stuff I posted on the setup...

Cheers,
