928 CS anybody..?
I have been dreaming of this white CS the last 48 hours...
Check it out on Mobile De:
http://suchen.mobile.de/fahrzeuge/sh...e&pageNumber=1
Looks awesome in white and with the CS decals on the side...
39000 Euros.
It used to belong to famous German racing driver Hans Joachim Stuck.
Wish I had 39000 Euros right now...
Cheers, Michael

Why would you say the CS sticker is an add on? Do you know that Hans Stuck does not like stickers on his car? He did race for Porsche at the time of the CS or has just finished doing so and was probably consulting with them at the very least at that time. There is certainly NO REASON ON EARTH why he would not have a REAL CS if that is what he wanted!

Porsche did four manual S4 specials for their racing drivers to use as company cars in '87 MY, I believe this is one of those four. At same time they were sort of Club Sport prototypes. When they were done actual Club Sport model did not exist yet as it was introduced for '88 MY. Thus its likely there weren't any stickers at the time these four white S4 where given to Stuck and other three drivers. They had special engines with CS prototype parts but if I recall right for example wheels were originally flat disks as CS wheels weren't around either. Unless this is another '88 MY car and real CS instead of one of those protos. Though first registration month is little too early for that.

Another interesting fact - Hans Stuck also used to drive a diferent white CS with a PDK gearbox back in 1988!!! There is nothing new under the Sun it seems...
P.S. Erkka, the 1987 CS-proto cars had the correct CS wheels and not flat dish ones...
These cars are more valuable than the actual CSs - firstly, the association with famous racing drivers - Derek Bell, Hans Stuck, Jochen Mass etc. Secondly, they are trully one offs - Derek Bell's had a 2.64 rear end fitted as he complained of hitting the limiter in 5th on the Autobahn too often while commuting between races for example. When he stopped using it frequently, the 2.72 rear end was refitted by Porsche and the car was sold on by D Bell in 2004 for £24k.

A real CS, prototype or otherwise is THE 928 I would take over any other, bar none.
Nice find, thanks for sharing!
This is the closest I'll get, a sticker on my GT racecar:

It is certainly this car:
http://928clubsport.free.fr/dossiers...?id_dossier=26
It was for sale two or three years ago, for around 15000 to 20000 Euros.
I should have bought it then.
Derek Bell's car is now in Belgium, with many others very nice Porsches...
It's a pleasure to see that a real Porsche fan thinks a interesting 928 was missing to his stable.

Great elucidation...!
Its a real CS prototype then it seems....
Awesome.
180 km is a fair amount on such a collectible tho...
And that too done by a famous racing driver..!
Wonder how hard it has been driven and what condition it is in now?
Many rounds around the Ring at the limit..!
