Recently the car (1991 S4), has had condensation all over the inside of the car, mostly on the tailgate glass.
Just today I poured water over the car and had my son looking in the boot to see if anything came through, and he spotted quite a drip through the screw hole holding the taillight on.
I assume this means the seal for that nut has failed? Where would I get a new one? There was also condensation inside of the tailight lenses, could this be the culprit?

Hello I would also look closely at the CE (Fuse) panel and passenger side carpet for signs of moisture, the HVAC Blower is prone to leaking on these cars (the seal dries out).
It is always a good idea to keep a close watch, especially if the car see a lot of weather.
Not much weather up in Newcastle...........they just drink more brown ale
Rawky a bicycle inner tube makes great rubber washers............use a socket of the outer dia. size and tap with a hammer on a vice or similar. Either keep tapping (depending on future use of the socket) or cut the rubber and fashion the inner hole with a nail or screw.

Those things are to install. Use some lube to make it easier.

Funny you should say that, they've just closed the second Newcastle factory for that stuff, now NEWCASTLE Brown Ale is made in Tadchester, North Yorkshire. Just doesn't sound as glamorous now does it? It's keeping the name, but it just isn't the same! Haha
Thats just not right.............is nothing sacred anymore. We drank copius quantities of said ale as boys in Scotland..........its also where we mastered getting botlle tops off before they came out with screw caps.
Another consideration for the condensation issue is to replace the tailight unit..........928 Int are having a 1/2 off sale.
Haha tell me about it! Which part of Scotland were you from by the way?
OK, that is something I'll keep in mind. I might just have a go on what I already have whilst it's out when doing the seal, decisions decisions! The only reservation I have with large, semi expensive orders from N. America is the 20% tax smacked on it when it gets here by Her Majesty....
