Default Rauchquartz Metallic on an S4?

Was Rauchquartz (sp?) Metallic available in 88? I'm looking at a car and that's what color it looks (and it looks beautiful), just wondering if that was a factory color since I hadn't seen it on an 88 before.

Thanks,
Matt

It was possible to order newer cars with older color. Maybe buyer saw old brochure and wanted it. In cases I know these cars had actual color code used originally and not paint to sample code L999 like those cars which were painted with something different than any stock Porsche color. Its possible Porsche asked same $$$$ for custom paint job but still used normal paint code in sticker.

<---- Rauchquarzmetallic

I love the color, really changes in different light, and I always thought it was an 83/84 only color. But it's always possible it was a special order too.

Actually, it doesn't look as brown as yours, Mark. Maybe this isn't Rauchquarzmetallic. What is it?

I considered that, but I'm pretty sure it's not cassisrot. The other pictures are much browner. There is no pink or rose to it at all.

It does look like it has a little red in it, but it's not cassisrot. Definitely something between the two, maybe a paint to sample? What's the door jamb tag say?

The other color that is close to that is Nougat Brown.

I don't know. I won't be able to see it in person for a couple of weeks. Whatever the color, it looks great.
