Why can't I adjust my steering column?
I do not have an owners manual for my '90GT. The lever/lock for the column/instrument pod is a bit different than I remember on earlier cars.
It appears to unlock by lowering and rotating right to left, toward the driver door. However, I cannot move the column up or down.

The steering column lock on the 1990 MY is problematic and was redesigned in later years. Your's is probably broken.
If you can find a mechanic with a copy of the WSM which discusses the updated parts & installation. You can buy the update parts from Porsche, but they would need to know the part numbers.
