That race looks like a ton of fun! Just when I thought I had seen the funniest car another more crazy one would round the corner.
Too bad about the engine. Looking forward to coming out in March to watch.

Ok guys here is more evidence to disect for you estimations, the final run of the car with my silly interview afterward

The so car is going great, im taking it easy look, for flags, there always seemed to be a yellow in 14-15. So at 8:40 it all starts to go wrong, im speeding out of turn 6 and al of a sudden the loud fire mohawk equipped RX7 passes my rather easily, this is where i realize somthing is amiss, no rx7 should be able to pull on my like that.
Ok so then i get over to the back straight and im passing the blue alfa but im just barely gaining on him, something really isnt right, then going though 1 and 2 some fast cars get by but thats expected, that whale crown vic is fast. The it happens again, a MR2 passes eaily going into 5a.
Turn 8, there was a yellow in 7 so the black 2nd gen acura i passed is right next to me and i hear a rattle, look to my left and i see his hood is shaking, that must be the rattle, no problem, i carry on
Turn 12 the car shifts to 3rd but not very crisply and again i just cant seem to make much ground on the back straight, this lap was about 2:31
Turn 8 im still hanging with a small pack of cars but just cant gain on them, going into 9 you can begin to hear some rattling faintly in the background
14:58 the car stubbles for a second in the midddle of 13. this is serious now "WTF? im thinking the ignition must be dying, yeah that would explain the loss of power, ok one more lap if it gets worse im coming in."
Go through 14 and that acura with the flappy hood is in front, and then in the middle of 15 the noise really begins and again i think its the acura so i keep my foot in it but the noise is louder and no one else is around, right then i realize exactly what is is! ROD KNOCK!! F*CK!
So then i baby it around the course at 45mph trying to keep rpms low. and thats all she wrote..
