You might get a better answer if asking for GPH.

How far are you trying to spray?

I cannot imagine that the pressure this pump can generate is that high. I would be suprised if it was 5 PSI personally.

I also take the factory ones out on my cars and put in a newer design which has less trouble self priming.

Care to share? I would like to install a different pump(s) as I re-do this whole system. I've looked at a few but haven't picked one yet, perhaps you can save me some time.

This is the same style of pump that I replace all of mine with. It is much easier for it to self prime which is nice. But if you have the time and energy to do, move it to the tank. And get it as low as is possible to aid in this too.

Considering you did not bother to mention the purpose in the OP, and the most common reason (around here at least) people ask about electric water pumps is for intercoolers or replacing the cars main water pump.

In both of these instances GPH is the most common measurement since PSI is irrelevant.

In the case of water injection, the measured PSI is going to be dependent on the size of the line, nozzle, number of lines etc... Unless you were asking for the maximum working pressure the pump can handle, or the average......
If you apply power to the pump, and the inlet into a bucket of water, there will be zero pressure but it will be pumping it's maximum GPH.....

So next time how about we be more specific with our question. Okey dokey?

Great, also don't forget your cover letter on your TPS report.
