Every 100lbs is about a 1/10 in acceleration figures. Not a lot, but a little sump'n.

Those tenths add up quick though Abby! Paul is doing my seats and misc. pieces and I would recommend his work without hesitation. There really is no better to be had anywhere. Yes it is reasonably expensive and takes a while, but if you want/demand perfection he's should be your choice. I never thought the aftermarket seats looked quite right in a 928 street car IMHO.

BTW, Jim has the same Recaro in his GTS as pictured above, only in leather...very nice!

Here's a couple pics for comparison. 1st is next to the stock 1980 drivers seat, 2nd is installed in the 1980 ex-Callaway turbo.

Hey Rich... I just got a pair of Recaro SRD seats from a PCA DE driver in NY and I should get them today.. putting them in my 964 track project car..he had them in his 944 and now is setting up for full cage and racing seats.. I am 5'10" a little long in the torso and a little short in the arm/leg...what height difference will the SRD seats have ..same helmet problems with the sunroof... someone said Sparco 5 pt belts ...which bar ? I heard steel bar for strength..cheaper.. your thoughts are appreciatated....Kevin will follow with pics soon....Kevin

Kevin, I gained a couple inches of headroom in both the 1980 and the 1987 928's, using Recaro mounts on the stock rails.

I have a Devek roll-bar for mounting the shoulder-harness. (I take the roll-bar out as well when not racing.) The lap belt mounts to adaptors fitted to the stock seatbelt mount points. I think I used Boxster adaptors. Sub belt bolted to floor, with big-*** washers.
