Looks like the current owner spent a heap of cash on yet more bodywork, between the jaquemond front bumper, the side brake vents, and possibly the jaquemond side skirts! That and obviously got it running and has had it registered for 4 years.

Agree there's no way the seller will get the asking, even tho prices in Oz are typically a lot higher than the USA/Europe for 928's. Dave's assessment above from the last time it was sold is damning enough!

Code Option Description
026 Activated charcoal cannister
190 Increased side door strength
460 Additional Intank Fuel Pump - Australia , Japan
463 Clear windshield
463 Lateral glasses tinted, (Series Equipment for Australia)
475 License plate fastening (Series equipment Austria, Finland, Australia)
479 Version for Australia
576 Without rear fog light
650 Sunroof

But the intake is still interesting - we don't see many custom intakes in the 928 world! This one's on what was an old 300hp CIS engine, but is now EFI.

Looks like there are bell-mouths at the top of the runners judging by the flares.

I wonder whether the plenums are joined? Its a twin throttle-plate setup, so its possible the plenums are separate.

So what does this car look like today? Like the pics in the yard, or the ones on Ebay?

Hilton,

The engine visuals and the engine management system give the impression that someone played with this who might have known what he was doing but without a recent recent dyno test a somewhat risky purchase. That being said it looks as though it could have potential to be made into something special.

Not sure those front wheels will work-the geometry looks very suspicious. Is it my imagination or do I see paint rub on the front left tyre? The wheels look a bit different from the first pic.

Might work well with the John Kuhn air filter setup.

Regards

Fred

The intake runners are smooth, either a lot of grinding on factory parts to remove all the casting numbers etc, or it fabbed. I see one cable on top for guessing two throttles. I doubt the hot air intake system is close to as good as factory, but total guess.

Distributor looks weird to me, but I think they put an early dist on a twin dizzy head.
