Default Good 928 Mechanics that we should add to our list?

Rennlisters:

We have been maintaing this directory of shops that still service the Porsche 928Have a look at it here, it is sorted by State.
http://www.928motorsports.com/parts/superinstall.cfm

This list is a real benefit to the new 928 owner, or to anyone who struggles to own one if they cannot do their own work.

Tell me: are you aware of any good shops that we are missing from the list?

No shop is added to the list without me contacting them personally first to be sure they want more 928 traffic. Unfortunately, I have no way to judge their competency. But, its a start.

Your feedback welcome.

Carl, George & Jacki Kiss, owners/ operators of Desert Oasis in Las Vegas, Nv. (702) 255-4090. They have done repairs on my 928, and run a very clean and honest shop. George loves the 928, and was recomended by the local Porsche dealer. FWIW, Joe Norman

Here in Colorado we have Stan Kolen (MrMerlin), but since this is a side thing for him he should probably say whether he wants to be on the list. But I highly recommend him and have used him for some big projects.

I also like Eurosport Automotive and they always have a 928 or two parked out front:

Great to see the list Carl. For PA, Richlin Imports is good. I've been in their shop and they know 928s well. They are in SW PA, outside of Pittsburgh to the east. Another shop near Pittsburgh (to the south), and the one I used for years when I lived there, was Porsche Specialties, owned by John Raysich. He is excellent and works on many of the local 928s in that area. His address is 371 Carol Ave, Bridgeville PA 15017, phone 412-221-1855. Lastly, for PA, you should pull down Scott Mohr's info.
Other states - here in Bozeman Montana, I've been using The Auto Works, owned by Tim Fountaine. So far so good. He races 944s, and he knows 928s well. Adress is 28797 Norris Rd, Bozeman MT 59718, phone 406-586-3709.
Lastly, I had a good experience during a breakdown in Sioux Falls SD last summer - needed emergency help and went cold to a shop that turned out to be excellent. It's Classic Import, 301 West 43d Street, Sioux Falls SD 57105, ph 800-801-1905 or 605-335-1905. The owner really knew our cars, and had owned several before. Also, it's the only Bosch Authorized service center within hundreds of miles of anywhere out here.
Be sure to tell these folks Ed Rice said "hi" when you call. Especially John Raysich in Pittsburgh - he's a class guy and knows his stuff.

Carl,

Carl's Place, Inc. in Las Vegas, NV also has a website- http://www.carlsplace.org/
You might want to add it to your contact info aside from their email & phone #.

Sweet. you have Karl at European Road and Racing on the list.. in Charleston,SC you're kinda isolated.. the other two shops down here will kinda ream you one and favor 911's. European is a first rate shop and very fair in pricing..

You can put me on the 928 repair list, I think i have done work on most of the active Rocky Mountain sharks owners cars atleast, 15 of them.
I can do most repairs, thanks for the consideration, Stan
