Default 85 euro with the shakes

i finally got to put a healthy 500 mile trip on the old girl. can not beat the north carolina / tennesse hwy 321.
i think i will convince the state to change name to hwy 928 .
the car was made for that road.

as this was the first time it ran for more then groceries i noticed the following.
when heated up from a dead stop from a light to about 2300 rpm i could feel a vibration that would go away at 3,000 and is no present when cold.
i have new tires front end has been aligned and no shake form the sterring whell at all.
tt tube bearing ? rear wheel bearing ? rear axle cv joint ? t/c bearings ?

the second was at a light after running the idle gets real low and the whole car shakes as if it had a 3/4 lift cam .
it does not die and what is odd is it does not hesitate .
please give me ideas on what to look or test .
i am not one who wants to throw parts at it and hope somethng works.

thank you for any idea's

Do you have all three pedals, or is it missing one?

Is there any associated noise when you have the windows down?
Does the shake match the engine rpm, or change as the gears shift...
Is the shake more noticable with more throttle applied, or less, or no difference...
how many teeth do you have left

no noise at all the shake is strongest when first rolling out of second gear.
but no shake if i am in 1st .
and then when you get off gas . but at any time if i shift to neutral
it completly goes away.

first i would pop off the distributor caps and check the timing of the both distributors, an old belt will cause the second /slave distributor to jump a tooth. male sure that all of the timing marks are lined up.
Next open the hood and run the car in the dark you might have some ignition leaks remove both of the coil wires and inspect the ends and make sure that the wires dont touch any chassis parts as they can ground out if the are leaking

Is it a vibration shake or a shudder?

Can be a number of things.

But do this. Change the oil into a clean container.

Pull your oil filter into a separate clean container and under a strong light look for debris or metalflake.

I am dealing with a shudder issue right now. Thought it was transmission. Turned out to be inside the engine.

one thing i just checked tonight was a aftermarket check valve from the brake booster. flow was the wrong way. changed direction till i get new black and blue porsche valve . guess what idle is now smoother and holds 670 rpm on the number with every accessory on .
last new thing i did was the tires. better check balance again?

Really doesn't sound like a tire issue, but good thinking.
