A good friend of mine got the latest 2+2 Ferrari last week and we decided to go for a ride around town. We sometimes nailed our cars hard and to my surprise Ferrari isn't much quicker than the GT. I presumed that Ferrari figures like 3.9s 0-60mph would leave me into dust but reallity is different. He was amazed that he couldn't leave me behind in 2nd gear acceleration. The exhaust noise is altough special in the Ferrari (4.3l V8). I just can't wait to supercharge my GT....

Bogdan I've been telling people this for years ... just because a car, on a good day, is rated an amazing acceleration, does not mean it can kick your butt if you drive a great car very well.

Don't get me wrong, the Ferrari IS faster on take off mostly due to dual clutch sequential setup ( and tyres i'm sure) but we did some intermediate gears roll on-acceleration (foot on the floor) and the GT sticks his nose ahead in 2nd and 3rd gear. The Ferrari V8 is less torquey under 4000rpm but catches up after 5500rpm. However, with this occassion I realized that the 928 is STILL a high performance car.
