Default GTS Spotting in Plano, TX???

I was coming out of my neighborhood which is Forest Creek Estates and I spotted a gorgeous Gray GTS with what appeared to be 19" 997 5 spoke wheels. I was in a blue M Coupe and just about had a heart attack it was that nice!

Would this happen to be anyone on this forum?

I see two every day and three on really good days. I think that might be all we have in Austin... There was a black one here for awhile but I have not seen the car or the owner in YEARS at any PCA events!

Nice to know there is a big group in Dfw. I've been on the fence for years and have bought several cars since the last mint 5spd S4 balked at and bought an older M Coupe. So now Lotus Elise, NSX, 993, Z4 M coupe and many other cars later I'm looking at them again.

The GTS is an interesting proposition. I never really knew where to file them... They are $30k plus but fit the profile of a $10k car since avg person doesn't notice the difference... How big of a difference is the drive?

NINE known GTS's in the D/FW area...that is pretty good considering there were only ever 422 at the VERY MOST in this country and probably never actually that many at once (I suspect more than a few '93's met their demise before the last '95 got here).

Raron,

LOVE my 928's and while the drive of a GTS is not much different from an S4 the exterior look is much updated and preferred in my view. When looking at the auto's the GTS's are for sure quicker than the S4's, I think in the 5spd cars they are pretty close and it might be hard to tell... YMMV!

Raron,
That's too funny man!!
I saw you as I pulled out of your neighborhood last night. Saw your car and REALLY liked this color!!! I waited for you after I pulled out on to Legacy, but I think the traffic and the car between us kept you from turning right behind me.

Again, I really dig the color of your M! It's close (plus or minus) to later model Iris Blue in the 928.

If you are on the fence, at least take a look at the 928. I think you'll be pleasantly surprised by not only the car, but the folks in our club.

Second thought, forget the folks here, they are a bunch of Wack Jobs!!

I see two on a regular basis in Beeville; population 30 odd thousand. We're definitely in the odd category!

I just sent a GTS back to the Dallas area, last week. Keep you eyes open, for it. Fairly quick, BTW.
