Default Bunch of Japanese 928s for Auction this week

Most weeks on the Kadoco website there's one or two 928s that are being sold. This week there's five:

http://bzl.cis6200.jp/e/p5_search_re...ORSCHE+928&m=1

Just click on the photo for more info. Don't get too hung up on what they list as the model year - they're often off by a year.

Unfortunately, they are all automatics (FA notation). Two of the 3 GTS are really interesting colours (green & pearl white). Too bad you can't easily bring them to the States.

I'd say most of the 928s currently for sale in Canada are Japanese imports. The price landed in Canada is usually very reasonable, but you have had no PPI and TBF seems very common among these cars.

Nice color!!!

Those front fender flares make me shudder... I'm so glad we don't have those over here!

Hopefully they are mounted without holes in the fenders.

OTOH. I like the Euro/ROW side flashers so much more than the US side markers

Sorry about that. The link is letting me go straight to the pictures, but obviously not everyone. Dan noted the correct passwords. To view the full lineup, go to this site:
http://www.kadoco.co.jp/
then click on the blue USS auction box in the centre. That will take you to a new screen, where you enter either of the noted codes. From there, select Imported cars/ others and follow the steps. There is always some very nice machinery auctioned every Wednesday evening.

I'm with Nicole those flares are F-UGLY!! Seen them before but they look TERRIBLE on that color!

Oh, and I would guess the left hand drive models are Euro models modified to Japan spec (whatever that requires) vs. a Japan model from the factory... either way, VERY TOUGH to bring in to this country. Well, not difficult, just expensive and time consuming! Probably would cost more to convert than you would actually be paying for a few of the cars even.

Correct, these are Euro models, complete with the digital message centre in German. As long as you they are 15 years old, you can import them to Canada with no problems, but not to the States.

My guess is that you can get one of the GTSs landed in Canada with all shipping, brokerage, taxes, etc. for somewhere in the mid-to-high teens. I'll try to find out tomorrow how much a couple of these sold for and will post that info if I can find it.

Those are a very interesting prices... how difficult would it to have the car registered in Canada and then taken into the US as tourist car? So I could buy a 1995 GTS, have it shipped to Canada for less than $15k, register it in Canada for 10 years and then import it to the US as a 25 year old collectors car?

Interesting, then shipping/taxes are another 5 k or so? Too bad no manual transmissions. I was looking at 911's and about 85% of them were autos as well. I noticed some nice looking 993's and 964's there if anyone was in the market.

Move to Wisconsin and slap a "Hobbiest" plate on it. You can register anything on wheels in this state.
