Default SoCal Deals?

My brother in-law has the itch (I don't think he's told my sister yet) to add a 928. I'm trying to figure out what flavor of 928 he wants, but does anyone have a bead on some high-quality (not project) cars in So Cal? He's a good mechanic, so maintenance and common issues wouldn't be a dealbreaker. But he's looking for a runner.

Thanks,
Matt

This an excellent, well sorted, car owned by a true 928 enthusiast. I looked it over at Sharktoberfest this past weekend and Mr. Perry is selling it for a dream. This is a buy and go car with only the best maintenance over it's history.

+1 on Ron's car. Being a '90 it has the airbag dash which is much less prone to cracking & just looks nicer. His car is in very nice shape and worth considering.

After getting some more info, I think he prefers a 5-speed, but I did say yours would be a very nice one, Ron.

When the GTS is done I suspect the wife is going to turn the screws on me selling the GT, but in order to not be (too) underwater on selling it, my asking price would have to be about 1 MILLION DOLLARS!

Nobody needs a GT as their introduction to 928s. There is little to aspire to then, except a completely rebuilt GTS with a Greg Brown stroker. Besides, why would I want my brother-in-law to have a faster, nicer 928 than me?

"Okay honey, I'll put the GT up for sale, I know I haven't been driving it as much since I finished the GTS." "It will go up for sale tomorrow, honest."

Yeah, I suspect a lot of cars for sale are just like that, make the wife happy for sale, make hubby happy its never going to happen price.

That's why I always suggest making a cash offer that the wife can see.

I would check these out,

My guess is $5k would do it,

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Gorge...item4a9b749771

This one is $6500 (Denver CO) but a low ball of $5k or $5.5k might work,
