Not doubting the quality whatsoever, however I don't see how a 13 drawer chest weighs 400 lbs...

My Craftsman chest which is twice the size weighs half as much...

I'm not seeing 400#s on the website. Mine is 200#s +/- I'll buy again and keep adding on. Very nice boxes for the price.

Sears has a very nice box on sale this week - 40" wide, 22 drawers, usually $999.98, on sale for $599.98. #13991/2

I think my top and bottom would hit 400 pounds. A buddy and me lifted the bottom up into my pick up truck. No way we would have manhandled 400 pounds. Regardless, great tool boxes. Buy them! Oh and it is ball bearing sliders, never really looked at it before.

Ditto. I've looked around and have yet to find anything near as heavy duty for any where near the price advantage as that HF tool chest set (which I purchased). Enormously heavy. Bring some very hefty friends when you pick it up.

I was just going to order that one from HF! The whole thing - Top botton, left side drawers, and right side cabinet. I wanted a black one though.

All the HF chests including this one are available in red, black, or for the daring yellow!

I do not know how good the day after thanksgiving sales are going to be with the economy sucking but in the past there have been some tasty deals on boxes down at Sears....

The normal HF price is $449, but it is commonly and currently available for $399. I used this printable %15 off coupon to get it for $340:

I thought I'd post this in case anyone is in the market for a box. If you're in no rush, you could get it for even cheaper. Harbor Freight offers %20 off coupons pretty regularly, and these boxes have been offered at least once as a Black Friday special

There's a 20% coupon in the back of the current (new car issue) Autoweek.

I shopped the HF boxes hands-on against Sears, Tractor Supply, Sam's Club, Lowe's and Home Despot. HF was best bang for the buck. Construction and operation was at least a match for any of the others and better than most. Sam's Club was worst but check out a Tractor Supply if one is closer than HF - and wait for the sales.

Color? Who cares, I didn't ask my wife.

So, I went back and bought the top chest today. It's not listed on sale, but it rang up $299 rather than the normal $349 price. Armed with a 20% coupon this time, thanks Kurt!, it came out to $240. So, I'm in for a total of $580 for the two boxes. I don't have any before pictures but my working garage feels much bigger after buying these boxes and some shelving, makes working on the cars more enjoyable
