Default Flywheel Sensor/Hall Sensor pin out help

Please help. I need to rewire the Flywheel Sensor connector. Looking at the PIC which end is #1 pin? Also what feed voltage does #1 receive?
Thanks

It has the pin numbers on the side of the plastic housing on the connector in your hand - embossed.

I can go grab one to look at as I have a spare flywheel sensor on the bench.

It doesn't receive voltage however - it generates a signal using induction, with the brown and white wires being signal ground and signal. The third wire is the shield loop (has black sheathing for about 1.5cm on the hardness connector, then fans out into a woven shield around the brown/white twiste pair).

If you want to test the signal you'll need an O-scope.

Apologies - after checking, the flywheel sensor connector doesn't have the numbers embossed! Knock sensor ones do.

Assuming same pin order as knock sensor, pin 1 is the left-most one in your picture.

You can check from the harness-side colouring, although checking may destroy the boot.

edit: Just checked a hall sensor I had on the shelf, and it has the embossed markings too - pin 1 is the same as knock sensor

Terminal 1 is the first pin to left in your pic. It will have continuity with terminal 2(center pin) .6 to 1.6 k-ohms. Terminal 3 is the shield. Must be tested with o scope and have 2.5 V or higher sine oscillations.

Hall sensor generally use 5 - 8 volt regulated dc voltage + volts on pin 1 , pin 3 is negative , pin 2 is the trigger , when it is triggers it is an npn arrangement , ie it takes the sigal to ground ,(the voltage on pin 2 will fall to about 3 volts when it is triggered) you will also see that pin 2 is the centre pin & it will be shielded. THe arrangement for the pins is shown in the wiring diagramms ..
